Kindergarten!

Last week Brooklynn started kindergarten....I was so nervous that I was going to be a wreck, but she was so excited that it was impossible not to be excited for her and be happy. It was a little sad to drop her off and say goodbye, when she looked a little unsure, but I knew that she would make friends right away and have so much fun!
When I picked her up she was grinning ear to ear! And when I asked her what she learned, she responded "um...nothing". She told me her favorite part was playing! And then proceeded to tell me about all of the friends she met! We are so proud of her!! I can't believe that she is old enough to have started school...where does the time go!

A much needed update

Hi all! So I finally have gotten my lazy self to publish a post...yeah!!! I am going to start out simple with some much needed pics of the kids, who have grown a ton this summer.

Crazy Eights...

So apparently I have been tagged by mommymonkey...to write a meme (which I have no idea what that is) but since I really enjoyed mommymonkey's post I thought I would try one of my own!

8 things I look forward to:
1. Chris finding a new job!!
2. The weekend (everyweek...does that still count?)
3. Chris having more time at home with the kids & me ( but still finding a job quickly!)
4. Summer, so we can be outside all the time
5. Planting a garden this year
6. Getting Brooklynn into a sport (soccer if I can find a league for her age...she really needs something where she can run off her energy)
7. Mason being completely potty trained....so close!
8. Wyatt sleeping through the night again...he's getting some teeth

8 things I did yesterday:
1. Meet with our church lady so we can get married again...(second time is a charm!)
2. Worked
3. Went through a re-org at work...thankfully I wasn't affected, but I am praying for the ones who were
4. Played with my kids
5. Was woken up at 1am by Wyatt, b/c he thought that would be a good time to play
6. Stopped at Target on my way home from work to pick up something for dinner & was so hungry that I bought a bag of Doritos & sour cream and opened them in the car to eat on my way home
7. Had to have a talk with my 4 year old daughter on way its not OK for her to pretend to wear a bra...Lord help us with that one!
8. Taught my son how to stand up to go potty like a big boy

8 things I wish I could do:
1. Stay at home with my kids (most days :))
2. Pay off all of our debt
3. Lose all of my baby weight...slowly but surely (if I could only stop eating those Doritos!)
4. Read more...so many amazing books so little time...someday when the kids are too cool for me
5. Have more patience somedays
6. Teach my dog how NOT to use our basement as a bathroom so that we could get new carpet
7. Win the lottery so that Chris could start the woodworking business he dreams of having
8. Learn how to be more assertive

8 shows & watch:
(Or I should say would like to watch, if only I could stay up past 9 :) )
1. Grey's Anatomy
2. Heros
3. Criminal Minds
4. The Biggest Loser
5. The Office
6. 30 Rock
7. Private Practice
8. CSI (NY is my favorite)

A new trick...learned WAY too early

Notice the look of shock on his face

Yes believe it or not at 16 months this little one has learned to climb a ladder, who would have thought that...we solve the problem of Mason climbing into Wyatt's crib only to get the boys bunk beds and have Wyatt climb up to Mason's bed. I guess they just love each other so much that they have to try & sleep in the same bed! I will be sure to remind them this when they get a little bit older & can't stand sharing a room :)

You know it was a great weekend when...

You can where dress up clothes outside (w/o a jacket or boots)

You have dirt all over your face & are wearing your sister's dress up clothes

You have your blankey, nuk & dirt all over your face....it was a great weekend ;)

Brotherly love...
